Successful Completion of Triumph Group’s Inaugural Asia-Pacific DOA Package

Triumph Aviation Services - Asia Ltd TASA Accreditation

Triumph Aviation Services-Asia, Ltd., (TASA), Triumph Group’s MRO Subsidiary for the Asia-Pacific Region, proudly announces completion of its first Design Organization Approval (DOA) under EASA.21J.574 approval certification issued on September 12th 2019.

The approval allows TASA to design and approve minor changes and repairs to engine nacelle secondary structures and parts, including thrust reversers certified under EASA Rules Certification Specifications CS-25 or similar certifications such as JAR25 and FAR25.

The completed package (TASA-DOA-19-0004), an Out-of-Manual Composite Repair of an A320 V2500 Fan Cowl, represents the successful culmination of a full-spectrum process including Design Organization Handbook preparation, comprehensive external audits and specialist training for the TASA Organizational Staff.

Rapid expansion on this initial nacelle approval is actively underway, as additional competency is gained in the existing repair requirements and through the incorporation of new components to an already extensive capability list.

“Completing this first work order under our DOA approval is an exciting milestone for the Triumph team” said Monty Richardson, President of TASA. “Receiving this approval directly validates EASA’s trust and confidence in TASA’s people and processes, and we’re looking forward to the new dimensions of service that our team can provide for our customers.”
